On July 10th, 2023, Capt. Tarek Shahin - CEO of Port Said Container and Cargo Handling Co. (PSCCHC), signed a software implementation contract with Prof. Dr. Ismail Abd Alghaffar – President of Arab Academy of Science and Technology AAST -and- Chairman of Integrated Solutions for Ports (ISFP), to implement the world's most connected Terminal Operating System (TOS) - Navis N4.
This project will include the supply of a new state of art Data Center, NAVIS N4 Installation, Integration with handheld devices, vehicle mount devices, yards, and gates, user training, future system updates, and general support.
Navis (N4) is considered the global leader for over 30 years, used by 80% of container terminals worldwide, and the most connected and flexible TOS.
Navis' innovative technology limits operations risk and minimizes the terminal's downtime and maintenance costs.
The system provides a wide range of solutions including:
• Carrier & Vessel Solutions
• Execution & Visibility Platform
• Maintenance & Repair Operations
• Terminal Operations
• Transportation Management
• Yard Management
The project is estimated to take 11 months, and complete implementation by June 2024.
Capt. Tarek Shahin – CEO of PSCCHC also seized the opportunity to present the current challenges and successes of the previous 10 months to the guests. Which garnered positive feedback from shipping lines' representatives.
The event was attended by various esteemed and honorable guests. Such as Rear Admiral. Mohamed Braia - Vice Chairman of SCZONE for North Sector - as well as - Member of the Board of Directors of Port Said Container and Cargo Handling Co.
Joined by Capt. Hussain Alshazly – Head of Port Said West Port, Admiral. Adel Rizk – General Manager of Port Said West Port, and a group of Shipping Lines’ Representatives.
The event marks a leap forward in the company's efforts to cater to customers' needs and adhere to service quality standards.
The event also marked the launch of the company's Logistics Center. Which is designed to replace old degrading models of handling customers' requests, with modern customer experience with single window services that ensure the efficiency and time and money saving model for our customers.
