Location

PSCCHC is located at Port-Said port in the Mediterranean at the northern entrance of Suez Canal .This genius unique location makes deviation angle Zero, which according to world studies reduces handling cost by $2.5 per container & saves from 3 to 24 hour of vessel’s waiting duration. It can be translated into an additional reduction from $2.5 to $20 per box than the nearest port.

Also this genius unique location facilitates handling container vessels calling PSCT and joining the convoy without any delay.

Port Said container quay and terminal are located at the extension of Abbas basin south Port-Said port & west canal navigation course.

Security - Safety

  • Port security facility is our prime concern in our daily business. The company is committed to ensure the highest standards of security expected by its customers, employees, national & international authorities inside its container terminal.
  • PSCCHC is compliance with all applicable laws and regulation to ensure effective security management of its business. Also its our responsibility to secure, protect our terminal facilities practicable and economically sound.
  • PSCCHC encourages its employees and customers to take a responsible attitude towards security and safety through security awareness programmes.
  • PSCCHC is working closely with Port Said Port Authority, Suez Canal Authority, Free Zone & Customs and law enforcement agencies to ensure that security of the terminal extends to the surrounding ports and waterways.
  • PSCCHC is following security procedures with regard to the container terminal area and for interacting with associated authorities.
  • PSCCHC is controlling the terminal including positive identification of all employees, customers, visitors and government employees required to be at the terminal. Also ensure appropriate procedures for reporting and review all security incidents.
  • Our security manager/officer is responsible for security management throughout the company.

    Export Yards

    At the extension of LCL warehouse, PSCCHC established new external yard of 35000m2 to handle Egyptian products to be stored on metal shelves using electrical forklifts to be stuffed in containers applying most up to date storing methods.This yard is designated for rendering services to Egyptian exports.Also transporting empty containers (free of charge) to export yard to be stuffed and back to be shipped on the allocated ships.

    The following advantages are also provided to export containers:

    • Providing the necessary handling equipment free of charge except handling dues of gantry cranes.
    • Granting 50% discount on handling dues of export containers and cargoes.
    • Supplying electric power for reefer boxes, monitoring temperature & carrying out minor maintenance operations.
    • Granting 50% discount on handling dues for exported reefer containers,after the free storage period.
    • Providing our clients (exporters) with the convenient containers to export their shipments.
    • Providing proper stowage for shipments to be delivered to the consignees in good condition.
    • Providing custom clearance service for exports.

    Import Export Yards F.C.L & L.C.L

    The import yard area is 75000m2 carrying out unloading of L.C.L in C.F.S. warehouse whereby stripping and storing can be processed. The warehouse area is 13000 m2 capable of storing contents of 250 TEU.It is furnished with metal shelves and most updated international storing systems are applied to secure safe cargo storage.It is ensured against all risks.ALL fire fighting equipment are available and it is provided with an automated fire fighting system.Precious goods are preserved in secured room inside the warehouse.ALL equipment required for stripping, stacking and stowing cargo on shelves are available.Such equipment are allocated to operate inside the warehouses as being battery operated,whereby no exhaust may affect the safety of people or cargo.

    Reefer
    Prepared special area for reefer containers(cooling AND freezing) equipped with all facilities required to supply containers with electricity.The area can accommodate up TO 1446 reefer boxes and supply electric power in addition to relevant technical services required.

    In case electric power outage,there is a stand -By power- generating unit to supply reefer containers with electric power.A well - trained technical crew supervise operation of reefer containers and register temperature day and night.The team can undertake minor maintenance works to preserve continuous operation of reefer containers.PSCCHC provides remarkable facilities for export reefer containers [cooling and freezing] and grants discount 50% of storage dues for export reefer containers.

    Container Freight Station C.F.S
    It's allocated on an area of 325,000m2 to be used for stacking and handling transshipment containers with approximate annual capacity 800000 TEU.

    Maintenance

    A specialized workshop (dry container) is responsible for maintenance and repair of containers in accordance with (IICL) standard . It can carry out repairs and maintenance for 20 boxes at the same time.

    Also it is responsible for washing & cleaning containers using hot/cold water & detergents.

    Its capacity is 600 Box/month.
