Increasing the allowed for ships in West Port Said Container Terminal to 15.5 m and length to 370 m__ Mar 2018
In the framework of developments & upgrades took place in West Port Said container terminal aiming to render quality efficient services to shipping lines container vessels & in coordination with Suez Canal Authority, the allowed draft for vessels calling the terminal to 15.5m and length to 370m, according to the statement issued by Suez Canal Authority transit department on 4/3/2018, which states: -Container vessels with 15.5m draft are allowed to enter & exit West Port Said container quay. -Allowing vessels with 15.5m draft & length up to 370m to turn in front of West Port Said container quay & exit to the sea. -Vessels exceeding 330m up to 370m length will be escorted by securing tugboat (charging 3000 USD) other than two port's tugs to assist in maneuvering given 24 hrs prior notice.
