Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Co. contracts with the General Authority for Supply Commodities to discharge million tons of imported wheat annually__ Feb 2018
After nearly seven years, co-operation between Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Co. and the General Authority for Supply Commodities returns and a contract was signed to unload wheat consignments imported to Port Said Port in favor of the Authority on behalf of Ministry of Supply & Interior Trade, estimated at 1 million tons annually starting from 1/2/2018. Adm. Gamal Ezz-eldin Abdullah, Chairman & Managing Director of Port Said Container & Cargo Handling Co. signed the contract with Mr. Ahmed Youssef, Vice Chairmen of the General Authority for Supply Commodities. Adm. Gamal Ezz-eldin said that: this step came in accordance with the directives of Dr. Ali Meselhi, Minister of Supply and Interior Trade, and Mr. Khaled Badawi, Minister of Public Business Sector in co-ordination with Rear Admiral / Mohamed Ibrahim Youssef, Chairman of the Holding Company for Maritime & Land Transport in order to enhance grain handling activity in Port Said Port on one hand, and support the national economy on the other hand. In addition to activating operation of railway from Port Said Port to reduce the burden on the roads and the speed of circulation of this important strategic commodity.
